Denver, CO – May 7, 2025 — Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix is already making a name for himself on the field, but it’s his off-the-field play that’s making just as big of an impact. The promising young star has announced a personal investment of $8.5 million to transform a luxury property in the Denver area into a state-of-the-art shelter for homeless youth.
The initiative, called “Nix Place”, is set to provide housing, meals, education support, counseling services, and career development programs for youth aged 16–24 who are experiencing homelessness or aging out of the foster care system.
“I’ve been given a platform, and I want to use it to make a real difference,” Nix said in a statement. “This city welcomed me with open arms, and I believe it’s my responsibility to give back in ways that truly matter.”
The 24-year-old quarterback, drafted by the Broncos in the first round earlier this year, worked with city officials, nonprofit leaders, and architects to repurpose the 20,000-square-foot estate into a facility capable of housing up to 60 young people at a time. The project is expected to be completed in early 2026.
Local leaders have praised the move, noting Denver’s ongoing housing crisis and the growing need for targeted resources to help at-risk youth. “Bo is doing something that will change lives, not just for today, but for generations,” said Denver Mayor Mike Johnston. “This is more than charity—this is community leadership.”
Nix, a devout Christian and the son of a longtime football coach, has often spoken about using his blessings to uplift others. While many young athletes focus solely on their careers early on, his willingness to lead with empathy is setting a new standard.
As the NFL season approaches, Bo Nix won’t just be playing for touchdowns—he’ll be playing for a purpose.
