One of the nation’s most dynamic young receivers has narrowed his college choices and circled a date for his big decision.
Ethan Feaster, an elite wide receiver prospect out of Texas, has named his top four schools: Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, and USC. The 2026 recruit, who recently reclassified from the 2027 class, announced that he will reveal his college commitment on July 4, setting the stage for a fireworks-filled Independence Day—both literally and figuratively.
Feaster has drawn national attention not just for his on-field play but also for his rapid rise through the recruiting ranks. Following his reclassification, he’s already trending toward regaining his five-star status across several major recruiting platforms. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver combines size, athleticism, and toughness—traits that make him a prized target for elite programs.
His ability to extend plays after the catch, along with his large catch radius, makes him a matchup nightmare for defenders. And schools have taken notice. Alabama in particular appears to be in serious pursuit, with wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard recently visiting Texas to evaluate Feaster in person. The Crimson Tide have made wide receiver recruiting a top priority in the 2026 cycle, and Feaster fits the mold of the explosive playmakers they typically target.
Feaster’s top-four announcement sets up a fierce recruiting battle among powerhouse programs, with each school bringing its own strengths to the table. LSU offers a storied receiver lineage, Texas A&M provides proximity and rising momentum under Mike Elko, USC boasts a dynamic offensive system, and Alabama brings championship pedigree and NFL development.
No matter where he ends up, Feaster’s commitment will be a major win for one of college football’s elite programs. For now, fans will have to wait until July 4 to find out which team will light up their recruiting class with one of the nation’s top wideouts.
