BREAKING: Tennessee Reveals Dates for Checker Neyland, Homecoming, and More

The 2025 football season is starting to take shape for Tennessee. We already know the Volunteers will kick things off against Syracuse in Atlanta on August 30th at noon ET. Now, more key dates on the schedule have been announced.

Tennessee’s Homecoming and Salute to Service game will be held on November 15th when the Vols face New Mexico State—marking the first-ever matchup between the two programs. Champions Weekend is scheduled for October 11th as Tennessee hosts Arkansas.

Checker Neyland is set for September 13th, and it comes early this year in a highly anticipated showdown against Georgia. It will also serve as Tennessee’s home opener. The Volunteers will welcome Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs in what promises to be one of the biggest games of the season, continuing the recent trend of this rivalry bouncing around the calendar.

In addition, Tennessee will honor former defensive standout John Henderson during the Georgia game. Henderson is set to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December.
