BREAKING: Internal Talks Underway Amid Surprise Exit Rumors at Nottingham Forest

Nuno Espirito Santo’s future at Nottingham Forest is uncertain, with internal discussions reportedly taking place over his potential departure at the end of the season.

According to reports from Foot Mercato and journalist Santi Aouna, tensions have emerged between Espirito Santo and club owner Evangelos Marinakis. These internal strains could result in the manager leaving this summer.

Sources indicate there’s a growing sense within the club that a managerial change may be necessary. This possibility comes as something of a surprise, considering Forest’s relatively strong season and the fact they remain in contention for a Champions League spot going into the final matchday.

However, recent weeks have seen a dip in form, with Forest slipping to seventh in the table after spending much of the season in the top four. This downturn has reportedly heightened tensions.

Notably, Marinakis was seen confronting Espirito Santo on the pitch following a 2-2 draw with Leicester City earlier this month. While both later downplayed the incident—claiming Marinakis was upset over an injured Taiwo Awoniyi not being substituted—Foot Mercato suggests there are deeper, ongoing issues behind the scenes.

The report raises eyebrows, as parting ways with Espirito Santo—particularly if the team narrowly misses out on Champions League qualification—would seem a questionable move. Some might even view it as an act of self-sabotage.

Still, given Marinakis’ unpredictable nature, nothing can be ruled out. Despite the headline, the report offers little concrete detail, leaving many questions unanswered.
