DONE DEAL: Miami Hurricanes Bolster 2026 Offensive Line Class with Commitment from Rhys Woodrow…

The Miami Hurricanes continue to assert dominance in the 2026 recruiting cycle, especially in the trenches. Just over a week after landing the nation’s top offensive tackle, UM secured another key addition on Saturday: three-star interior lineman Rhys Woodrow from Orlando’s Boone High School.

Woodrow, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound prospect, announced his commitment to the Hurricanes over a crowded field of offers that included Florida State, Florida, Georgia Tech, Stanford, and UCF. Known for his versatility, Woodrow can play both guard and center — a valuable asset for any collegiate offensive line room.

Rated the No. 72 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 class by 247Sports and No. 98 by On3.com, Woodrow’s pledge is another step in Miami’s strategic effort to dominate the offensive front in future recruiting classes. He visited Coral Gables back in March and was scheduled for an official visit on June 13 — but his mind was made up early. He canceled other visits, including trips to FSU and Stanford, signaling his strong commitment to the Canes.

Woodrow is Miami’s fifth offensive line commitment in the 2026 cycle and part of a larger recruiting haul that includes a mix of elite talent and developmental prospects. The group is headlined by five-star tackle Jackson Cantwell from Nixa, Missouri, one of the most sought-after players in the country.

In total, Miami now has 11 verbal commitments for 2026 — one five-star, seven four-stars, and three three-star prospects. Beyond Woodrow and Cantwell, the list features Miami Northwestern linebacker Jordan Campbell, Seffner Armwood cornerback Jaelan Waters, Georgia cornerback Jontavius Wyman, North Carolina cornerback Camdin Portis, quarterback Dereon Coleman (Lakeland Jones High), running back Javian Mallory (West Boca), tackle Ben Congdon (Ohio), and interior linemen Joel Ervin (Fort Myers) and J.J. Sparks (Jacksonville).

The Canes may not be finished stacking the line just yet. Miami is widely considered a favorite to land two more standout linemen: Brec Kolojay from Bradenton IMG Academy and Canon Pickett from Tampa Bay Tech. Securing both would give UM an astounding seven offensive line commitments in one class — a clear statement that head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff are building the foundation of the future from the inside out.

With the 2026 class still in its early stages, Miami’s aggressive approach on the offensive line signals a long-term commitment to physical, high-caliber trench play — and potentially, a return to national prominence.
