Inter Milan have finalized a strategic transfer agreement with Belgian side Club Brugge for promising midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic — one that ensures the Italian club retains a future stake in the player’s career.
After prolonged negotiations, both clubs have reached consensus on a €10 million deal, but crucially, the transfer will include a buyback clause — a condition Inter Milan insisted upon before greenlighting the move. The final agreement will see Inter retain the right to re-sign the 19-year-old talent for €23 million as early as next summer or in 2026. Should they wait until 2027, however, the price tag will increase to €25 million.
This clause was a sticking point during talks, with Inter determined not to lose long-term control over a player seen as a future asset. The club also secured a 10% sell-on clause, ensuring they profit from any future transfer involving Stankovic.
The Serbian midfielder, who has long been considered one of the brightest prospects in Inter’s youth ranks, will now head to Jan Breydel Stadium, where he is expected to fill the void left by the potential departure of Ardon Jashari — another highly rated name attracting interest from top European sides.
For Club Brugge, Stankovic represents both immediate reinforcement and long-term investment. For Inter, it’s a calculated step — allowing the player room to grow, while keeping the door open for his eventual return;
