RSC Anderlecht have officially announced the return of Joachim Imbrechts to the club. The 23-year-old Belgian-Swedish goalkeeper joins the Brussels-based side on a free transfer and will initially feature for the RSCA Futures, while also serving as the third-choice goalkeeper for the senior team.
Imbrechts, who holds dual nationality, is no stranger to Anderlecht, having previously spent time in the club’s youth system. His return is seen as a strategic reinforcement of the club’s goalkeeping department, providing depth and experience behind the first-team regulars.
A technically sound shot-stopper with good reflexes and composure, Imbrechts will now look to further develop under the guidance of the Anderlecht coaching staff. His dual role with the RSCA Futures and the senior squad places him in a valuable position to both grow and provide reliable backup when called upon.
RSC Anderlecht welcomed Imbrechts back warmly, with club officials expressing confidence in his potential and character. As the club continues to build a competitive and balanced squad, the addition of Imbrechts underscores Anderlecht’s ongoing focus on blending experience, youth development, and strategic squad depth.
Welcome back, Joachim!
