College Station, TX — The Bucky McMillan era at Texas A&M is picking up steam, and the latest addition to the Aggies’ revamped roster adds even more firepower to an already intriguing mix. Former USC forward Rashaun Agee has signed with Texas A&M, the program announced, becoming the seventh transfer to join McMillan’s squad as the Aggies gear up for a new chapter.
At 6-foot-7 and 210 pounds, Agee brings physicality, versatility, and experience to the frontcourt. He averaged 9.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last season for the Trojans, but his collegiate journey tells a broader story of resilience and impact. Starting at Casper College in Wyoming in 2019, Agee carved out a path through New Mexico State and Bowling Green before landing at USC. Across his career, he’s posted averages of 10.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 20 double-doubles, with nine games of 20+ points.
Though Agee will require an NCAA waiver to suit up this season, his signing signals Texas A&M’s clear intent: build a contender fast.
Perhaps most intriguing is Agee’s reunion with former Bowling Green teammate Marcus Hill, who transferred from NC State to A&M in April. The duo combined for highlight-reel moments in the MAC and could quickly become a reliable one-two punch for the Aggies in the SEC—should Agee be cleared to play.
With Duke Miles opting to leave for Vanderbilt, Agee’s arrival helps stabilize the forward rotation and keeps momentum high for McMillan, who’s aggressively reshaping the roster to fit his uptempo, high-effort system.
If Agee gets the green light, don’t be surprised to see him emerge as a glue guy—a veteran leader who can post a double-double one night and defend multiple positions the next.
In the ever-competitive SEC, Texas A&M isn’t waiting around. They’re building a team that’s deep, experienced, and ready to compete now—and Agee could be the X-factor that brings it all together.
