BREAKING NEWS: Stuttgart Sporting Director Dismisses Inter Milan Links to Nick Woltemade: “We’re Continuing Together, Negotiating a New Deal”…

Stuttgart Sporting Director Alexander Wehrle has shut down speculation linking forward Nick Woltemade with a summer move to Inter Milan, affirming the club’s intention to keep the 23-year-old and continue contract talks.

Speaking to Sky Sport Germany, as reported by FCInterNews, Wehrle confirmed that Stuttgart are actively working on a new contract for Woltemade. He emphasized that the club sees the German international as part of their plans for the upcoming season.Nick Woltemade Stuttgart

Recent reports had suggested that Inter Milan were eyeing Woltemade as a potential addition to bolster their attack following the departures of Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa. The Nerazzurri are said to be closing in on a deal for Parma forward Ange-Yoan Bonny and have also shown interest in Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund. Woltemade has reportedly emerged as an alternative target.

Woltemade enjoyed a breakout season with Stuttgart, scoring 17 goals and providing three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. His performances have sparked interest beyond Italy, with multiple clubs monitoring his situation.

However, Stuttgart are standing firm. Wehrle stated unequivocally, “We’re moving forward together with Nick next season. That’s final.”

When asked about the status of contract negotiations, Wehrle added, “There’s no urgency to act immediately, but we are in continuous discussions with our players and their representatives—Nick included.”

Any deal for Woltemade would not come cheap. Stuttgart reportedly value the striker at a minimum of €40 million, which could be a major obstacle for any potential suitors.

For now, it appears Stuttgart are determined to hold on to one of their rising stars—and are confident of securing his future at the club.
