AC Milan’s pursuit of Swiss midfielder Ardon Jashari has hit a standstill as Club Brugge remain unmoved in their €35 million valuation, leaving the Rossoneri to weigh their next steps in what could be their final push of the summer transfer window.
Despite having tabled what many consider a substantial offer — €32.5 million fixed plus €5.5 million in performance-based bonuses — Milan have yet to break the deadlock with Brugge. The Belgian side remains adamant about securing at least €35 million guaranteed, with hopes of pushing the final deal to a total value of €40 million.
Negotiations, according to sources including Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, have stalled over this relatively narrow — yet significant — gap of €3 million in the fixed fee. While Milan believe they’ve already exceeded expectations with their current proposal, Club Brugge are holding firm, aware that this could become a record-breaking sale both for the club and the Belgian Pro League.
For Jashari, the picture is clear. The 21-year-old midfielder is fully committed to joining Milan, with reports indicating that he has made it clear to both clubs that San Siro is his only desired destination. This strong stance could eventually pressure Brugge to soften their demands, but so far, the club is leveraging the bidding leverage such a high-profile sale would offer.
Milan are hopeful that Jashari’s insistence on the move could play a decisive role in unlocking the impasse, but time is of the essence. With the transfer window ticking down and new contacts expected in the coming days, the Rossoneri will soon need to decide whether to increase their bid, walk away, or rely on player power to tilt the deal in their favor.
For now, Milan await. Brugge hold firm. And Jashari remains in limbo, his dream move hanging on a €3 million difference.
