Good news is shown in behind-the-scenes film as the £60 million pair gets closer to returning to Newcastle.
The media staff at Newcastle United has released some behind-the-scenes video that provides a positive update on Joelinton and Miguel Almiron’s health.
Cameramen at the club’s Benton headquarters captured Joelinton back in light training with Almiron in a film that was created in honor of the Brazilian’s signing of a new deal with the club last Thursday.
The pair appears to be pushing up their injury recoveries as the video shows physiotherapist Daniel Marti giving them instructions before they return to the grass for conditioning exercises, training drills, and ball work. Since the film was produced on the day that Big Joe signed a new contract, which was last Thursday, they will have made even more progress in their recuperation after a week, and if they haven’t already, they may resume full training shortly.
After our FA Cup victory against Sunderland 3-0, Ezoic Joelinton had thigh surgery. Meanwhile, Miggy missed our previous three league games due to a knee injury he had during our 4-3 victory over West Ham last month.

Although the trip to Crystal Palace next week will probably come too soon for both, these encouraging signals provide optimism that our South American pair can contribute to the last few games of the 2023–24 season.
