General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah stated that “there was never a second in my mind” that the transaction would not be completed, and he and head coach Kevin O’Connell were both pleased to have Jefferson on board for the foreseeable future.

“Finally, finally back,” Jefferson began his remark.

“I’ve been waiting for this opportunity, and now that I’m the leader of this team, I’m carrying myself differently…” I’m going to be on everyone’s buttocks, harsh on everyone, just to make sure that I’m the leader of this team and that we’re working toward our goal, which is a world championship,” Jefferson said.
