Since the spring transfer window started in mid-April, the Texas Longhorns have lost nine players via the NCAA transfer portal, including Terrance Brooks, the expected starter at boundary cornerback.

This thread will monitor where each of these players ends up.

Jordan is making the switch in hopes of competing for a starting position in the secondary — he previously played cornerback and nickel back for the Longhorns — but the floor for Jordan in the short term is sustained contributions as a primary special teams player.

DL Zac Swanson, Arizona State
After playing three games for the Longhorns over two seasons, Arizona native Zac Swanson is returning to his home state to play for the Sun Devils, reuniting former teammates J’Mond Tapp and Troy Omeire.

Edge Billy Walton – SMU

The South Oak Cliff graduate left the Forty Acres after playing 15 snaps across two games in 2023, with one assisted tackle. On Wednesday, Walton decided to return to the Metroplex, joining a lengthy list of previous Texas players who had transferred to SMU.

IOL Payton Kirkland – Colorado

After one season with the Longhorns, Kirkland has joined the Deion Sanders Experience in Boulder, where the Buffaloes are looking for an offensive lineman. With a challenging route to playing time at Texas, Kirkland has a chance to see the field soon at CU.
