
Drew Gordon, former NBA player and brother of Nuggets standout Aaron Gordon, died in a collision at 33.
NBA Report: Just in, the Denver Nuggets have confirmed the injury of another top sensational star.
Drew Gordon, the older brother of Denver Nuggets standout and NBA champion Aaron Gordon, was killed in a collision in Portland on Thursday, May 30. According to TMZ, Gordon crashed with a GMC Sierra truck while driving a three-wheel Vanderhall Carmel.
Drew, who also played professional basketball, was declared dead at the site, while two GMC occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were also treated at a hospital. According to preliminary findings, Gordon’s car collided with the GMC when the three-wheeled roadster crossed the middle line.
Drew, 33, was a basketball prodigy in high school. He also played basketball at UCLA and the University of New Mexico. In addition to playing for the Philadelphia 76ers and the G League, Gordon spent time in Europe. He retired only last year.
Drew’s brother Aaron has not publicly spoken on his death, but his team issued a statement on Friday to express its condolences to his family. “The Denver Nuggets organization is devastated to learn of Drew Gordon’s tragic passing,” the team said in a statement.
“Drew was far too young to die, but his legacy will live on through his three beautiful children and all of his loved ones.” Our thoughts go out to Aaron and the Gordon family during this terribly difficult time.”
Drew’s wife survives him, in addition to their children.
